LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas Raiders and Vegas Golden Knight players will battle it out on the field in a charity softball game. Battle for Vegas, which Golden Knight Jack Eichel will host, returns to Las Vegas for its fifth year.
It starts on Saturday, July 13 at the Las Vegas Ballpark in Downtown Summerlin and is an evening of competition, camaraderie, and charity. The stakes are higher this year as both teams, who have each won 2 games, seek to take the lead for the ultimate bragging rights.
It’s not all competition. Proceeds from the event and merchandise purchases will go to support local charities. Since its launch in 2019, the annual softball showdown has raised more than $850,000 for deserving local charities. This year’s Battle for Vegas will benefit the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation with funds distributed to Best Buddies of Nevada, a local charity that offers one-to-one friendship, integrated employment, and leadership development programs for individuals with and without disabilities.
The 5th Annual Battle for Vegas will take place Saturday, July 13 at 8 p.m.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with the Home Run Derby taking place at 7 p.m. The game starts at 8 p.m. and will conclude with a post-game firework display presented by Century Gaming Technologies. For tickets and information, visit this link.
