LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — New Golden Knights bookmarks are out at Clark County Library branches, and you can go online to enter your library card number for a chance to win a pair of tickets to a game or an exclusive T-shirt.
The first two bookmarks in the new series — goalie Logan Thompson and defenseman Alec Martinez — are in libraries now. They feature designs of the players hoisting the Stanley Cup, and on the back, there’s information including each player’s favorite book.
To enter for a chance to win Golden Knights tickets, go to the Library District’s homepage and follow these steps:
- Go to the homepage at https://thelibrarydistrict.org/
- Click on the banner that says “February is library lovers’ month”
- Go through the steps to “Select Shirt Fit” … choose men’s or women’s, and then select a size. That will make a new menu show up to choose the library branch where you want to pick up a prize if you win.
- Choose the library you want from the menu, and a new field pops up to enter your library card number.
- Fill in your number and click “submit” to enter. You’ll be eligible for tickets and/or a shirt.
If you don’t have a card, you can get one online. Some library services require that you have a physical card, but this prize giveaway will work with just your card number.
The bookmarks are available in English or Spanish, and you might find some inspiration to try a new author. Thompson lists the Harry Potter series as his favorite, and Martinez recommends, “All the Light We Cannot See,” by Anthony Doerr. It’s a Pulitzer Prize winner and a 2014 finalist for the National Book Award.
