Not even The Answer can solve the never-ending riddle of ranking the NBA’s all-time greats.
On an episode of the Geto Boys Reloaded Podcast, Allen Iverson delivered his top-five list. He starts, like most do, with Chicago Bulls icon Michael Jordan occupying the top spot.
After that, Iverson veers from the pack a bit.

Kobe Bryant holds his second slot ahead of LeBron James. Along with surpassing Bryant as the NBA’s third all-time leading scorer, James has a more well-rounded and efficient stat line than his Los Angeles Lakers predecessor.
To be fair, Iverson witnessed Bryant’s greatness first-hand when the Lakers defeated his Philadelphia 76ers in the 2001 NBA Finals.
Perhaps that’s why Shaquille O’Neal also made the cut at No. 5. The 15-time All-Star and four-time NBA champion was unstoppable in his peak.
Stephen Curry is probably AI’s most eye-raising choice. The Golden State Warriors guard is building an irrefutable case as the greatest shooter in NBA history. He’s revolutionized the game like few others have and will make a run at his fourth title this postseason.
However, given his defensive limitations, it’s tough to place him ahead of legends like Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Of course, there’s no definitive answer to this age-old question. Everything has their own order, and all the usual suspects are undeniably amazing basketball players.
