Free agent Colin Kaepernick continues to push for a second chance in the National Football League.
The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, who last played in the NFL in 2016, has interest in signing with a team ahead of the 2022 season.
Kaepernick has been working out with NFL players and he’s agreed to another workout with a wide receiver this week.
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Jalen McCleskey invited Kaepernick to join him for a workout down in Louisiana.
Kaepernick agreed.
“Let’s get it! Nola has always showed love. I’m on my way!” he tweeted.

The Saints could be in need of some quarterback help.
New Orleans was linked to Deshaun Watson, though he’s heading to Cleveland. While the Saints could bring back Jameis Winston, there’s no obvious answer at quarterback right now.
“MAKE. THIS. HAPPEN,” one fan tweeted.
“I’m not against it, BUT I doubt they’d let that happen after everything that happened between him & the NFL,” another fan admitted.
“Saints you want a QB…here’s one who is coming for a NOLA workout,” one fan added.
Kaepernick had previously reached out to Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, though it’s doubtful that Seattle will sign him.
“You can ask questions about Colin Kaepernick. I know. You’re going to ask me, so let me just put it out there. He contacted me the other day. Said, ‘Hey, I’d like to get a shot. I’m working out.’ He sent me some vidoes. Next thing I know, he’s working out with Tyler Lockett. I don’t know how that happened. Does that guy deserve a second shot? I think he does. Somewhere. I don’t know if it’s here. I don’t know where it is. I don’t know if it’s even in football. I don’t know,” Pete Carroll told reporters.
Will we see Kaepernick on an NFL roster this year?
