Community pulse: Not a lot to love about free-agent class

The Raiders’ 2024 free-agent class hasn’t done much

There are a lot of reasons why the Las Vegas Raiders are a bitterly disappointing 2-10 and have already been eliminated from AFC playoff contention even though they haven’t played in December yet and have five games remaining.

While it is not the biggest reason, the Raiders’ 2024 free-agent class hasn’t produced much.

So, we spent our Tuesday Community Question this week, asking our community members how they feel about the class and what player stands out to them.

We excluded defensive tackle Christian Wilkins from the conversation because he was, by far, the standout of the class. Sadly, Wilkins was hurt in Week 5, suffering a major foot injury./ That further hurt this class’ production.

Honestly it’s a very difficult question. I guess I would have to say Adam Butler, but maybe only because Wilkins got hurt…..pretty sad- but with over 106+m in cap space next year (add another 6 mil if we want to release Gardner) we should be able to sign quality FA. Best thing is the Rookie QB deal which is approx. 4 years = $40 m— better than paying a guy like Gardner 14m per.

Well if we are excluding Wilkins, I am hard pressed to think of even 1 that is worth a shit.
