Can this team compete for the Lombardi Trophy in 2025?

The 2025 NFL offseason and is just getting started and it’s all about new beginning.

That’s the beauty of it all. The Las Vegas Raiders had an awful season in 2024. But there is new hope with a new coach, new front office and the means to add new players in 2025 as they ramp up toward competing hard.

There is hope in all 32 NFL cities so we had some fun this week in our Tuesday Community Question. We asked our readers if they think the Raiders can win the Super Bowl in the 2025 season?

Of course, the Raiders have a lot of work to do to become contenders, starting with a new quarterback. But it was interesting and fun to see how fans are feeling these days. Most are pretty realistic, while hopeful

If Management brings back the right personnel. Add the right personnel, the team can have 10 win season next year even with O’Connor at quarterback.

Any given Sunday: this can be the rally cry, but, in reality, NO – lol…we have 29 of our own FA’s – let’s let The brady Bunch take action and begin to construct a roster and consider winning more than 4 games, let alone sniffing the playoffs…jeez people, will you give things time? Who pushed this question anyway? Oh, yeah….who knew?

With the new leadership at the top, G.M., H.C. & O.C., I think that will have them finishing ahead of the Chargers and Broncos. That’s a good start.

If we stay completely healthy and the top teams all got bad bug, that would really help. You look at the Commanders, everything went pretty well moving from bottom to top, but still not enough. That would be a huge success. Gotta dream a little though.

The biggest factor is QB and coaching. If we have the right coaching in Pete, Chip, and PG. Then we are an elite QB away from being instant Super Bowl contenders. I don’t think that would be enough to beat Philly. I feel they are heads and shoulders above all else the most complete team. I actually think 2nd is Baltimore. Baltimore lacked coaching last season because they are the best most complete AFC team. I think our only option would be trade for Stafford if Super Bowl contention was the goal. That would only be a 2-3 yr window. No other elite QB’s who fit the bill are available. We don’t know if Stafford is even available (I don’t think he is). Or when he’ll fall off. That’s an expensive risk (not worth it).

As of right now, every team CAN. How likely is it? Probably good odds if you bet against the Raiders making the Super Bowl or winning it.
