Speculation already flying Las Vegas could draft Colorado quarterback
There is already mock drafts speculating that the Las Vegas Raiders will draft Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft.
If that happens (and a lot needs to shake out in the next nine months) count Sanders’ father and head coach, Deion Sanders being on board with the idea.
“That would be nice,” Deion Sanders said at the Big 12 Conference media day, which was held at the Raiders’ home, Allegiant Stadium, this week.
Deion Sanders loving the idea of his sons playing for the Raiders and Antonio Pierce:
“That would be nice for [Shedeur & Shilo] to play for the Raiders. I’m meeting with the team today.”

Sanders had previously said there would be some NFL teams that his sons, Shedeur and Colorado safety Shilo Sanders, and Colorado wide receiver-cornerback Travis Hunter would refuse to play for. He has backtracked from that, but clearly the subject will be a storyline leading up to the 2025 draft next spring.
Sanders, though, made it clear that he would be fine with his sons playing for Raiders’ coach Antonio Pierce. Sanders did note that he is rooting for Pierce to succeed and he does not want him to be in position to draft his son, who could be a high pick.
We don’t even know if the Raiders will want to pick a quarterback early next year. But, if so, count Sanders being excited about his son wearing the Silver and Black.
