Free agency has been a frenzy this season as several teams have made splash moves while the Las Vegas Raiders started to build out new head coach Antonio Pierce’s vision for the team.
The biggest move the Raiders have made so far was signing star defensive tackle Christian Wilkinson to a four-year deal. Wilkinson was one of the best defensive players on the market, and Las Vegas made sure they got him to pair with superstar edge rusher Maxx Crosby.
The offense also got a facelift when they signed Garnder Minshew to a two-year deal and released Jimmy Garoppolo. Minshew is expected to compete with Aidan O’Connell for the starting quarterback job, though the former has a natural edge with more games and experience under his belt.
The wide receiver room is pretty set with Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker but Dez Bryant believes the Raiders should be looking at signing Mike Williams in free agency via his personal X account:

Williams was an expected cap casualty given the Los Angeles Chargers’ salary cap sheet but he is now arguably the best wide receiver left in free agency. Williams suffered a torn ACL in Week 3 and has a lengthy injury history, but there’s no denying the field-stretching ability he has when he’s on the field and healthy.
Offensively, the team could look lean on the run game despite losing Josh Jacobs in free agency to the Green Bay Packers. Zamir White appears set to take on the lead role, though Las Vegas will likely add some depth via the 2024 NFL Draft.
For a rebuilding team like the Raiders, it doesn’t make much sense to sign a health risk like Williams unless it was on a value deal. However, that likely won’t happen as Williams is expected to have multiple suitors who can afford to gamble on him.
It appears that Las Vegas will fill out the rest of the roster with last-minute free agents and draft picks, though the thought of adding Williams might be too good to pass up if he doesn’t end up finding the deal he wants.
Raiders sign tight end Harrison Bryant to one-year deal
The Raiders haven’t made much noise on the offensive side during free agency as they don’t have too many glaring holes. However, they did come to terms with Harrison Bryant on a one-year deal to help backup Michael Mayers.
