Many NFL fans believe that the Kansas City Chiefs trading star wide receiver Tyreek Hill has effectively ended their dominant run. But ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky doesn’t believe that at all.
On Friday’s edition of Get Up, Orlovsky dismissed the idea that the Chiefs offense can’t be “what it was” when they had Hill. He believes that the Chiefs offense will be different, but not much worse.
“I think it’s a little bit silly and ignorant of us to say this offense can’t be what it was with Tyreek Hill. It’s just gonna be different,” Orlovsky said.
Orlovsky explained that the Chiefs have clearly built this team to make Patrick Mahomes the focal point. He pointed out that the Chiefs still have plenty of weapons who can fill the void left by Hill.
.@danorlovsky7 doesn’t think we should count the Chiefs out just yet.

Dan Orlovsky does make a good point – the Chiefs are loaded with weapons and many of their second and third options would be starters for some NFL teams. Their recent addition of JuJu Smith-Schuster could potentially let them replace Tyreek Hill right away if he returns to Pro Bowl form.
But Hill has still been one of Patrick Mahomes’ favorite targets over his four years as an NFL starter. Replacing his production won’t be easy.
Then again, with a player like Mahomes as the quarterback maybe it will be.
Will the Chiefs offense take a step back now that they’re moving on from Tyreek Hill?
