This offseason has been one of the most memorable in NFL history, as several marquee players have been traded thus far.
During an interview with TMZ Sports, former NFL head coach Mike Singletary discussed all the moves that have taken place this offseason. He also revealed which team is the biggest “winner” thus far.
“Cleveland definitely won,” Singletary told TMZ Sports. “There is no doubt in my mind. I think Deshaun going to Cleveland, that’s huge.”
When he’s active, Watson is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. In 2020, the Clemson star had 4,823 passing yards and 33 touchdowns.
On paper, the Browns should be better with Watson under center. However, Singletary does have concerns about how long it’ll take for the team to develop chemistry.
“I just think the first thing is hopefully the chemistry is there,” he added. “I really liked the quarterback they had before he left, and of course the injuries that he had, but I think Deshaun is going to do great job. Hopefully the chemistry comes early, and they are able to get on fire, catch fire early on.”
It’s unclear if Watson will be suspended by the NFL.
Do you agree with Singletary that Cleveland is the biggest winner of the offseason?
