The AFC West arms race added an interesting new layer on Tuesday afternoon.
Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver is reportedly signing a one-year deal with a division rival today. Demarcus Robinson is the newest member of the Las Vegas Raiders, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 27-year-old wide receiver caught 25 passes for 262 yards and three touchdowns last season. He had spent the last six years in Kansas City.
Now, he’s heading to Vegas to team up with Derek Carr and Davante Adams.

Robinson visited with the Raiders on Tuesday morning and clearly liked the pitch he received. It didn’t take long for him to strike a deal with the Raiders.
The former fourth-round pick figures to be a main contributor for the Raiders this upcoming season. He should factor into a wide receiving mix that also features Adams, Bryan Edwards and Hunter Renfrow.
This is no doubt a blow for the Chiefs. However, they’ve bolstered their wide receiver rotation this offseason.
Most notably, Kansas City signed JuJu Smith-Schuster to a one-year deal. The organization also added former first-round pick Corey Coleman. He’ll have a chance to revive his NFL career during training camp.
The AFC West, meanwhile, is going to be a slugfest for first. The Chiefs, Chargers, Broncos and Raiders are each capable of winning the division.
