Former Saints wide receiver took to social media after Chris Olave left the game with a concussion, continuing his beef with Carr
Week 9 was another tough one for the Las Vegas Raiders as the team fell to 2-7. However, the franchise’s passing leader Derek Carr might have had an even worse Sunday as Carr and the New Orleans Saints suffered a loss to the Panthers, and former Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas went after Carr on social media during the game.
Saints QB Derek Carr
- Stats: 18/31, 236 yards, 1 TD
- Game result: Saints lose 23-22
What set Thomas off was Carr missing a throw high and over the middle to Chris Olave, resulting in Olave taking a big hit, suffering a concussion and needing to be taken off the field on a stretcher. Thomas then took to X/Twitter to criticize the quarterback which isn’t the first time as he expressed his discontent for Carr last year while he was injured but still on the team. Carr was asked about the comments from a former teammate and questioned why Thomas seems to have it out for him.
Also, the Saints’ loss to the Panthers means Derek Carr has lost to 31 of the league’s 32 teams in his career. The Raiders are the lone remaining club and head to New Orleans in Week 17. We’ll see if Carr is still the Saints’ starting quarterback by then.

Jets WR Davante Adams
- Stats: 7 catches, 91 yards, 1 TD
- Game result: Jets win 21-13
Adams got his first win and big game as a Jet on Thursday night. New York Faced a depleted Houston squad and struggled to get much going offensively, scoring no points in the first half. However, the wideout and his running mate Garrett Wilson provided a spark in the second half, especially via Wilson’s one-handed touchdown grab to give the Jets the lead in the fourth quarter. Still, New York is a longshot to make the playoffs, four games back from Buffalo in the AFC East standings and two games behind the Broncos for the third Wild Card spot.

Packers RB Josh Jacobs
- Stats: 13 carries, 95 rushing yards, 2 catches, 13 yards
- Game result: Packers lose 24-14
Jacobs had an impressive outing with over 100 total yards while averaging 7.2 yards per touch. However, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur went away from the running back in the second half for some reason despite the game being played in a major rain storm. It felt like that cost Green Bay the game or at least played a major factor in the loss. But the team is still in the thick of the NFC Wild card race at 6-3.
