Belichick, of course, became the head coach at the University of North Carolina less than a month ago. However, he has a manageable buy out. So, if Belichick wants to coach the Raiders and reunite with Brady, he can easily make it happen. The report stated, at least, one other team with an opening has reached out to Belichick. There are currently six open jobs.
It has been reported will play a big role in the Raiders’ hiring process and this is an indication of that. Brady and Belichick were in New England together for 20 seasons and they won six Super Bowls together.
Other New England coaches have been linked to the Raiders’ job in part because the Raiders such as Mike Vrabel and Brian Flores.
