A legendary sports agent died at the age of 54 on Saturday, multiple reports confirmed earlier this weekend.
Mino Raiola, one of the biggest soccer agents of all-time, passed away following a lengthy battle with an illness.
The longtime soccer agent had been hospitalized in Italy, where he was “fighting for his life.” On Saturday, his family confirmed that he had died.
“Mino fought until the end with the same strength he put on negotiation tables to defend our players,” the family said. “As usual, Mino made us proud and never realized it. Mino touched so many lives through his work and wrote a new chapter in the history of modern football. His presence will forever be missed.”
Mino represented standout soccer players like AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.
Our thoughts are with his friends and family members during this difficult time.
May he rest in peace.
