Dick Vitale’s bracket is already busted.
We’ve had one day of the first round in the NCAA Tournament and it’s been one to remember. Vitale took the Kentucky Wildcats to win it all and they just fell to the Saint Peter’s Peacocks in overtime.
Vitale had Kentucky beating Iowa in the National Championship and the latter team is also already out. The Hawkeyes fell to the Richmond Spiders on Thursday afternoon.

Vitale surely wasn’t the only person who had Kentucky going all the way. He also wasn’t the only person who had Iowa going on a deep run either.
The Peacocks started out the game playing well and were tied with the Wildcats at halftime. They were then down in the second half but rallied back multiple times to force overtime.
Daryl Banks III ended up being the hero after he finished with 27 points and was one of only two Peacock players to score in double figures. He hit two crucial free throws to make it a two-possession game with only seconds remaining in overtime.
Hopefully, Vitale will have better luck next year!
