Former Broncos quarterback Drew Lock just released his first public comments since he was traded to Seattle as part of the Russell Wilson deal last week.
The 25-year-old quarterback shared a greeting for Seahawks Nation with a message on Twitter Wednesday.
“Officially a Seahawk and officially pumped!! Thank you for welcoming me to your great city and first class organization. You have set the standard of winning, I understand where that bar is set. Can’t with to play in the loudest stadium in front of the best fans in the NFL!!
“I respect the history, excited for the opportunity to write more, wearing the #2. Proud to be a Seahawk!”

Through three seasons as a part-time starter for the Broncos organization, Lock amassed an 8-13 record behind 4,740 yards, 25 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. This past season, he lost each of his three starts with 787 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Through his most complete NFL season 2020, the former second-round pick led the league in interceptions with 15 in 13 games.
As things stand right now, Lock is expected to be the Seahawks starting quarterback ahead of Jacob Eason. Unless the Seattle organization can work out a trade deal for another quarterback option later this offseason, the former Bronco will take over under center for Pete Carroll’s offense in 2022.
