College football fans can’t stop joking about what the NCAA is punishing Scott Frost for.
The NCAA announced minor penalties against Frost and the Nebraska football program on Monday. The punishment stems from one of Frost’s special teams analysts providing on-field “technical or tactical instruction to student-athletes during practices and film sessions.”
The funny thing is Nebraska had one of the worst special teams units in the sport last season.
The jokes write themselves.
Scott Frost going 3-9 with some of the worst special teams in America, then getting suspended for violations related to those awful special teams, is the funniest possible timeline.

Poor Scott Frost. He just can’t escape the embarrassing spotlight these days.
The NCAA’s punishment comes in the midst of Frost’s attempt to keep his job. The 2022 season is widely viewed as a make-or-break year for Frost. If the Huskers can’t go bowling, Frost could be shown the exit. It’s all speculation, but his seat has to be hot at this point.
Hopefully Frost can silence all his doubters and put together a strong year at Nebraska. College football is better when Nebraska is rolling.
