Notre Dame’s women’s basketball team fell to No. 1 seed NC State in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.
The Fighting Irish, a No. 5 seed, put up a tough fight, but ultimately fell to the Wolfpack, 66-63.
Following the game, Notre Dame freshman guard Olivia Miles called out part of the fan base for some despicable behavior.
“death threats/extremely hateful comments to athletes after they lose a BASKETBALL game is disgusting and completely unacceptable. we need to be better,” she tweeted.
