The Golden State Warriors went to Memphis for Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals and came out with a narrow 117-116 win over the Grizzlies. And Draymond Green loved every minute of it.
Video of the Warriors stepping off the FedExForum court shows Draymond giving intense hugs and handshakes to everyone he could get his hands on. Draymond had previously been ejected in the second quarter for his second flagrant foul, and watched the remainder of the game from afar.
But NBA rules couldn’t stop Draymond from going back once the final buzzer rang. And he made sure he was there to celebrate with his victorious teammates.
NBA fans had a little bit more fun with the video, which has quickly gone viral. There were plenty of jokes made at Draymond’s expense over how he looked and acted here:

“When you got an “A” on the group project, but you ghosted before the work really started,” one user said in a retweet.
“When you drunk as hell already and the rest of the homies pull up now it’s really lit,” wrote another.
“This is who Ben Simmons thought he was on the bench w the Nets,” a third wrote.
Like him or hate him, Draymond Green has been valuable for the Warriors in the playoffs thus far. If they can put it all together over the next few games, a return to the NBA Finals is within striking range.
