An NFC North battle to wrap up Week 15’s action
Week 15’s action wraps up with an NFC North battle as the Chicago Bears take on the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.
The 4-9 Bears are just looking to play spoiler as interim head coach Thomas Brown hopes to bolster his coaching résumé, but the 11-2 Vikings are in the thick of a couple playoff scenarios. Pending the result of the Detroit Lions’ game against the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota trails Detroit by either a half-game or a game-and-a-half for the NFC North lead. That also has ties to the one-seed in the conference while Philadelphia Eagles are in the mix as well.

I learned my lesson last week by picking Chicago in S&BP’s Pick’em competition. The Bears are 0-6 on the road this year while the Vikings are 6-1 at home. Plus, Minnesota isn’t getting talked about much as one of the league’s best teams, but the only blemish on the club’s record is a two-game skid against the Lions and Rams. Those contests were also back in October and just four days apart from each other, meaning the Vikings have been consistent for the majority of the campaign.
For the injury report, the Bears have ruled offensive lineman Ryan Bates (concussion), defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. (knee), running back Roschon Johnson (concussion) and offensive tackle Braxton Jones (concussion) out tonight. Meanwhile, the Vikings don’t have any players on the active roster who are out but cornerback Stephon Gilmore (hamstring) is questionable.
