With the Indianapolis Colts acquiring Matt Ryan, you can cross one more potential landing spot for Baker Mayfield off the list.
There are still a few teams that could trade for Mayfield, including the Seattle Seahawks. It looks like the Carolina Panthers are another possibility.
According to reporter Evan Massey, the Panthers have come up as a “potential contender” to trade for Mayfield. The reaction to this report is pretty wide-ranging.
Some Panthers fans want nothing to do with the onetime No. 1 overall pick, while others are okay with making the deal. There are also some 49ers fans who aren’t loving the idea of Mayfield in Carolina, because they’re hoping their favorite team can trade Jimmy Garoppolo there.

Mayfield reportedly told the Browns recently that he wants to be traded, and the fifth-year pro apparently had the Colts atop his wish list. However, Indianapolis elected to go after Matt Ryan instead.
Cleveland, meanwhile, will go into 2022 with Deshaun Watson as their starter after dealing for him last week.
