Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will have a shiny new toy at his disposal for the 2022 season.
On Friday, the Chiefs signed former Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to a one-year deal. He announced the news during an interview with Taylor Bisciotti.
“I am going to play with a future Hall of Fame quarterback, . . . with one of the best to ever do it,” Smith-Schuster told Bisciotti. “My goal as a player is to win, so I’m going to Kansas City with the hopes of winning a Super Bowl.”
Smith-Schuster isn’t the only member of the Chiefs excited about this pairing.
Mahomes shared his thoughts on the signing on Twitter, writing “Turn me up brotha!”

Smith-Schuster’s deal with the Chiefs is worth $10.75 million, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
It’s been known that Kansas City needed another wide receiver, and Smith-Schuster should be a perfect fit in Andy Reid’s offense.
We’ll see if the addition of Smith-Schuster can help the Chiefs make a Super Bowl run next season.
