It wouldn’t be college football without a little drama. And Pitt All-American Jordan Addison is currently at the center of it. During an appearance on Monday’s “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning,” Paul Finebaum weighed in on the issue of tampering in the age of NIL.
After it was reported the wide receiver is likely headed USC’s way; an upset Pat Narduzzi accused Lincoln Riley and the Trojans of tampering.
And according to the TV and radio personality, he doesn’t think the Panthers head coach has much of a case, as it stands:
Well, this individual situation, Pat Narduzzi, please give me some evidence of tampering, and if you have evidence, and if you have it on film, then tell me where you go with that. Because the NCAA’s not concerned, they don’t really care. I just laugh when I hear coaches get upset. It makes no difference whatsoever, because we have legalized cheating out there right now.

Later in the conversation, Finebaum explained he had several off-air conversations with SEC coaches at the NFL Draft. Telling the pair of radio hosts coaches confirmed there’s “widespread cheating, there’s widespread tampering.” Adding, that it’s as pervasive as ever.
“Everyone is cheating now,” he expressed.
Finebaum went on to say that this is the new normal; and all the pearl-clutching is unnecessary given how many people are at fault.
