Wrapping up a disappointing season
The Las Vegas Raiders have ended the 2024 season with a disappointing xx-x record. let’s recap the season:
Why did it go so bad:
The Raiders got bad coaching by Antonio Pierce and his staff, leading to his dismissal. They got rough quarterback play for most of the season by Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell. It also didn’t help that this season was as injured as it has been in several years. Several key players, including stars Maxx Crosby and Christian Wilkins, ended their season on the inured reserve
Silver linings:
The Raiders did play hard all season and they had a lot of young players step up on both sides of the ball. There is a lot of needs on this team, but there is some talent.
The MVP:
Speaking of youngsters, the star of this team was first-round pick Brock Bowers. He was incredible. He broke several NFL records and he is certainly a foundation piece.
Key to the offseason:
They must get the head-coaching hire right, of course. Then, it’s onto the biggest need. O’Connell was some nice moments, but the truth is, the Raiders probably need a quarterback. They have had to get creative by either trading up in the draft or signing a free agent or trading for a quarterback. But the position needs to be addressed.
