Defensive coordinator is reportedly a free agent after season
There could be major change on the Las Vegas Raiders’ coaching staff after the season ends Sunday.
Head coach Antonio Pierce (and most or all of his staff) could be fired as team owner Mark Davis has said he will evaluate Pierce after the season.
If Pierce is kept, he will have to decide if he will keep interim offensive coordinator Scott Turner or replace him and he will have to hire a quarterbacks and offensive line coaches after making changes in early November.
But potential Pierce hires may not stop on the offensive side of the ball. NFL Media reported Saturday that Raiders’ defensive coordinator Patrick Graham turned down a contract extension last year and he will be a free agent in 2025.
So, he could easily leave for another opportunity to replace a coordinator who is fired elsewhere or join the staff of a new head-coaching hire somewhere.
This is Graham’s third season with the Raiders. He is well respected and he’s done a nice job at times. this season has been up-and-down, but his unit has been gutted by injuries.
Do you want him back?
