Could veteran be an option in 2025?
Once again, the biggest topic around the Las Vegas Raiders is not the current team, but the future.
More specifically, the main conversation surrounding the franchise is who will be the team’s quarterback in the 2025 season. Yes, this season is far from over, but we all know this franchise isn’t going to go to the next level unless there is a position at quarterback.
This will be the third straight offseason, the Raiders will be looking for a new starter. The prime idea is to get a rookie quarterback in the draft.
Butt hat isn’t always easy to do and it may come with risks.
The other option is the free-agent route, which was the route the Raiders unsuccessfully went down the past two offseasons by signing Jimmy Garoppolo and Gardner Minshew.
Next free agency, one of the better free-agent options is going to be Sam Darnold. He has done a solid job with the Minnesota Vikings this year. He is far from special, but he is well regarded and he likely won’t be overly expensive. So, if the Raiders don’t like the prospects in the draft or their chances to get one they desire, Darnold could be an option.
