The quest for a new quarterback has begun
The 2025 NFL offseason has begun and thus, gone is the the disappointing 2024 season for the Las Vegas Raiders and the focus is on the future.
For the Raiders that focus starts at the most important position on the field. This is the third straight offseason in which the Raiders will try to find their net quarterback as the flux began in the 2023 offseason when they released Derek Carr after he spent nine seasons as the starting quarterback for the franchise.
The Raiders will try to find their quarterback in the draft with Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward being top targets. But they may not have a clear path to a quarterback because of their draft slotting. So, they may to trade up, but that could be quite costly.
There are other options since as maybe pursuing a free agent such as Sam Darnold, Russell Wilson or Justin Fields or trying to swing a trade for Vikings’ 2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy. Then, Aaron Rodgers could even be an option. And incumbent Aidan O’Connell could be a factor as well.
It will be an interesting few months and we will have you covered in every move the Raiders make toward finding their new quarterback,
