Las Vegas’ top wide receiver was dealing with ankle injury
The Las Vegas Raiders’ No. 1 wide receiver, Jakobi Meyers, is active for Sunday’s game at the 6-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m.
Meyers missed Thursday’s practice with an ankle injury. Before practice Friday, Las Vegas coach Antonio Pierce indicated Meyers would be ready to play Sunday. However, after being limited in practice, Meyers was listed as questionable on the Raiders’ injury report Friday.
Meyers has been the Raiders’ top receiver since the October trade of Davante Adams to the New York Jets. Meyers is having another solid year in his second season with the Raiders. He had 59 catches for 676 yards and two touchdown catches. He has a chance to set career marks in catches and receiving yards. He had 83 catches for 866 yards with the New England Patriots in 2021.
Running back Alexander Mattison (ankle) is inactive. He practiced on a limited basis and is questionable. He missed the past two games. Raiders coach Antonio Pierce said rookie Sincere McCormick will continue to get plenty of carries. He has a total of 17 rush attempts in the past two games.
Both running back Zamir White (quad) and cornerback Nate Hobbs (ankle) were ruled out Friday. They didn’t practice all week. Hobbs has missed three games and White has been out for two games.
