Las Vegas will talk to Seahawks’ Super Bowl-winning coach next week
The Las Vegas Raiders have started to request interviews for the coaching opening left by the firing of Antonio Pierce. They have requested to talk to five candidates so far: Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, Steve Spagnuolo, Todd Monken and Robert Saleh. They are also interviewing Pete Carroll
Let’s get to know Carroll some more:
Last job:
The Seattle Seahawks moved on from Carroll last year after a 14-season. Vice president of football operations. He had a 227-137-1 record there with a Super Bowl win, two Super Bowl appearances and 10 playoffs appearances.
Age:
52.
Coaching experience:
Carroll has 51 years of coaching experience counting college and the NFL. He also was the head coach of the New York Jets and New England Patriots. Overall, He has 18 years of experience in that role.
Other interest:
He is also interviewed with the Chicago Bears.
Why the Raiders are interested:
He a big-name leader and a culture builder. He is older, but is very energetic. He could be a serious candidate.
