Are we about to wrap things up?
The Las Vegas Raiders are halfway home in their two big hires.
Wednesday, the hired John Spytek of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their general manager. They still must hire their new head coach. Let’s look at where things stand:

- Vance Joseph
- Todd Monken
- Ron Rivera
- Robert Salah
- Steve Spagnuolo
Off the board:
Johnson was hired by the Chicago Bears and Glenn was hired by the New York Jets.
Is there a favorite?
It’s been speculated that Carroll is the favorite, but, as of now, it’s just rpeorts.
Previous reported interest
- Bill Belichick
- Liam Coen
- Brian Flores
- Mike Vrabel
Where it stands:
Vrabel was hired by New England. Belichick is reportedly staying at North Carolina. Coen is staying in Tampa Bay as offensive coordinator. The Raiders have yet to reportedly try to interview Flores.
Keep on eye on:
- Joe Brady
- Kliff Kingsbury

Spytek a factor?
He was surely abreast of the Raiders’ plans before he was hired. It won’t be a surprise if the Raiders’ expand the search beyond the current six coaches they requested interviews with. Of that group, all but Monken have been interviewed.
