This mock has no trades
Hey, it’s draft week. To celebrate we’re offering a full seven-round Las Vegas Raiders mock draft. This one has no trades. I will have two other Raiders’ mock this week, one that offers trades and another with a trade. Full disclosure: Some players may appear on multiple mocks as we try exercise our way up to draft day Thursday:
Let’s get it done:
First round
No. 6: Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty:
The Raiders can’t go wrong here. They will get a good player. I’d be tempted to go with Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham if he was on the board, but he may go to Jacksonville at No. 5. But Jeanty would be a home-run pick. Him and Brock Bowers in back-to-back years? Wow.
Second round
No. 37: Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden:
Bowers, Jeanty and Burden could remake the Raiders’ offense for years to come. Burden is a first-round talent, but there are some on and off-field concerns that make him risky. But it’s worth it for the Raiders at this spot.

Third round
No. 68: Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers:
The push for offense continue. The Raiders have studied Ewers and new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly likes him. He will get a chance to groom under Geno Smith for the next couple/few seasons. It’s worth a shot.
Fourth round
No. 108: Oregon linebacker Jeffrey Bassa:
The Raiders go defense for the first time. The Raiders have a need here and they have studied Bassa hard. He is a worthwhile get and potential future starter.
Fifth round:
No. 143: Nebraska cornerback Tommy Hill:
He is a big corner that Pete Carroll covets and he has a chance to carve out a role at an area where the Raiders need youth.
Sixth round
No. 180: Wisconsin tackle Jack Nelson:
John Spytek loves offensive lineman and this big man has a chance to develop.
No. 213 California linebacker Teddy Buchanan:
The Raiders have been studying him and he seems like a Carroll-pick.
No. 215 Oregon State guard Joshua Gray:
Like Nelson, Spytek gets another offensive line project.
Seventh round:
No. 222: Alabama safety Malachi Moore:
This is a heck of value here for a player who could come in and help on special teams right away.
Conclusion:
The Raiders would fill some holes and get some players to develop with this draft class.
