Arizona State running back was dominant against Iowa St during the big 12 championship and film confirms his dominance
The Las Vegas Raiders will be looking to upgrade the running back position of a dismal 2024. There was no running back over 500 yards, and they couldn’t find a consistent starter for the backfield.
The free agency class for running backs isn’t heralded like last year. There aren’t many future starters; if there are, they come with an injury history and are pushing 30. The NFL draft is a different animal with a deep running back class where teams can add a young player to help impact the roster.
One of those players is Cam Skattebo from Arizona State. Skattebo had a breakout season with 1711 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns. He had 45 receptions for 605 yards and three touchdowns in the passing game, displaying his three-down ability at the next level. Skattebo is now a hot name heading into the draft with many having him as RB2 behind Ashton Jenty.
I look at his dominant performance against Iowa State in the breakdown below. He helped ASU win the Big 12 championship and head to College Football Playoffs. Check out the breakdown below and let us know your thoughts.
