Some fans not liking the idea of Raiders drafting Texas quarterback
The Las Vegas Raiders will likely take a quarterback at some point in the upcoming NFL draft.
That much is clear as the team tries to groom a player at the position behind new veteran starting quarterback Geno Smith, who is expected to be the starter for the next three seasons.
Las Vegas has been studying and visiting with several quarterback prospects leading up to the draft.
So, again, it’s likely they call the name of a quarterback in the early-to-mid rounds.
It seems, some Raiders fans, though, hope the quarterback the Silver and Black drafts isn’t Texas’ Quinn Ewers.
We recently asked out community members if they’d like the Raiders to draft Ewers?
In our vote, 56 percent of the voters don’t think Ewers is the right choice for the Raiders to groom behind Smith, while 44 percent are in favor of Ewers joining Las Vegas.
The Raiders were one of the teams that Ewers had a pre-draft top 30 visit with and it has been reported that the Raiders and new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly are fans of Ewers. So, it’s possible he’ll be the choice.
