Still some players on market at Las Vegas need position
The Las Vegas Raiders still have plenty of positions to address in free agency and one of them is at cornerback.
Las Vegas was considered to be players at the position even before standout nickel cornerback Nate Hobbs agreed to terms with the Green Bay Packers.
So, expect Las Vegas to look into trying to sign, at least, one veteran cornerback and they could also address the position early in next month’s draft.
While free agency has moved fast and the Raiders have been fairly quiet since Monday, there are still some solid cornerbacks available on the open market.
Among the top options are Rasul Douglas (a former Raider), Asante Samuel, Mike Hilton, Ahkello Witherspoon and and Benjamin St-Juste.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if the second phase of the cornerbacks market picks up this week. But most of those players will likely be fairly reasonably priced and most should be able to either start or be part of the Raiders’ rotation at the position.
Don’t be surprised if this is a position Las Vegas moves soon to address.
