Las Vegas has requested to talk to Pittsburgh front office executive
The Las Vegas Raiders have started to request interviews for the general manager openings. They have requested to talk to Jon-Eric Sullivan, Jon Spytek and Sheldon White.
Let’s get to know White some more:
Current job:
White is the director of pro scouting of the Pittsburgh Steelers, a position he has held since 2022.
Age:
59.
Front-office experience:
White was with the Detroit Lions from 1997-2015. He began as a scout and worked his way from being a scout to being the Lions’ vice president of pro scouting. He was the team’s interim general manager in 2015. He spent the next five seasons as the executive director of player personnel and recruiting at Michigan State. He was a scout for Washington in 2021 before joining the Steelers.
Playing career:
He was a cornerback who the New York Giants drafted in the third round in 1988 out of Miami (Ohio). He also played for Detroit and the Cincinnati Bengals before his career ended in 1993.
Football dad:
His son Cody is a receiver for the Seattle Seahawks.
Raiders’ interest:
White has a lot of NFL front-office experience, he’s part of a solid program and he is well respected in the league.
