Did poor ending to strong season scare you?
The Las Vegas Raiders’ plan at the quarterback position will be the biggest question of the player-addition portion of the 2025 NFL offseason.
The Raiders are fully expected to add at the position, but it won’t be easy, of course. They have the No. 6 overall pick in the draft, but three quarterback-needy teams —- the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants — have the first three picks. With only two quarterback prospects, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward, considered worthy top-of-the-draft pick, the Raiders look like they’re tough spot when it comes to drafting a quarterback.
So, the Raiders may have to turn their attention to a veteran again through either a a trade or signing a free agent. Of course, the choices aren’t great.
The best free agent available may be Sam Darnold. The longtime journeyman flourished for most of the season. However, Darnold struggled badly in the final two games of the season.
Did his poor ending to a strong season affect how you feel about the Raiders pursuing Darnold this offseason?
