A look at how Las Vegas’ rookie class fared in Week 18
Let’s look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ rookie class fared in a 34-20 Week 18 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in the season finale:
Brock Bowers:
It was a fairly quiet game for Bowers, but he did have four catches for 50 yards and scored his fifth touchdown of the season with a garbage-time score with 25 seconds to go. He finished the season with 112 catches for 1,194 yards. He reclaimed the rookie reception record and he has the third most catches in a season by a tight end. He’s a special, special talent.
Jackson Powers-Johnson:
Powers-Johnson was back at guard for the third straight game after starting six straight games at center.
D.J. Glaze:
The third-round pick continued to start at right tackle where he is a staple.
Decamarion Richardson:
The fourth-round pick had a rough game as Chargers’ wide receiver Quentin Johnston routinely beat him on the way to a 13-catch, 186-yard performance. Richardson was forced into the lineup several weeks ago because of an injury to Jakorian Bennett and he struggled often.
Tommy Eichenberg:
The fifth-round pick from Ohio State didn’t play any defensive snaps for the eighth straight game. He did play 25 snaps on special teams against the Chargers.
Dylan Laube:
The sixth-round pick was active for 10th time this season. The New Hampshire product played just one offensive snap despite massive injuries at runnng back. He had a 19-yard kickoff return.
Trey Taylor:
The seventh-round pick was active for the ninth game and played a season-high on 22 snaps on special teams.
Not on roster
Seventh-round pick, cornerback M.J. Devonshire was cut and is on the practice squad.
