Starting 5 may be in place
The Las Vegas Raiders have had some change on the offensive line this offseason.
Let’s take a look where the position stands:
New free agent added:
Guard Alex Cappa (cut by Cincinnati Bengals).
Free agent who departed:
None.
Current free agents:
Tackle Andrus Peat, guard Cody Whitehair.
Free agent who re-signed:
Guard Jordan Meredith (exclusive rights free agent).
Released:
Center Andre James (Los Angeles Chargers).
Returners:
Kolton Miller, DJ Glaze, Thayer Munford, Meredith, Dylan Parham, Jackson Powers-Johnson,
Draft:
Teams are always looking for young offensive linemen and surely Pete Carroll wants and Chip Kelly want to put their finger prints on this group. But the Raiders have more pressing needs, so this may be an area where Las Vegas looks to ad don Day Three when they have six picks, including three choices in the sixth round.
Conclusion:
The Raiders will likely continue to tinker and add depth pieces. But they may be set with the starting lineup with Miller and Glaze at tackle, Parham (or Meredith) and Capps at guard and Powers-Johnson at center.
