A look at how rookie class fared at Tampa Bay
Let’s look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ rookie class fared in a Week 14 28-13 road loss at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and what to expect Monday night against the visiting Atlanta Falcons. Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m. PT.
Brock Bowers:
He made history in the final minute when he caught his 87th ball of the season, breaking the rookie reception for a tight end. He did, though, have a quiet day, for his standards, with three catches for 49 yards. He needs to be targeted more against Atlanta.
Jackson Powers-Johnson:
Powers-Johnson started his fifth straight game at center. He graded out well, but he had another crucial. He needs to work on that aspect of his game.
D.J. Glaze:
The third-round pick continued to start at right tackle where he is a staple. He has his ups and downs, but he appears to have a future.
Decamarion Richardson:
The fourth-round pick played extensively for the fourth straight game and will continue to do so with Jakorian Bennett out for the year with a shoulder injury. He has struggled against some good competition and that was the case at times against the Buccaneers.
Tommy Eichenberg:
The fifth-round pick from Ohio State didn’t play any defensive snaps for the fourth straight game. He did play 20 snaps on special teams against Tampa Bay.
Dylan Laube:
The sixth-round pick was active for fifth time this season and for the third straight game because running backs Zamir White and Alexander Mattison were inactive because of injuries. Laube didn’t play any offensive snaps as Sincere McCormick has become the lead back. Laube did play 12 snaps on special teams.
Trey Taylor:
The seventh-round pick was active for the fifth game and played 16 snaps on special teams.
Not on roster
Seventh-round pick, cornerback M.J. Devonshire was cut and is on the practice squad.
Undrafted free agents:
Linebacker Amari Gainer, defensive tackle Jonah Laulu, safety Thomas Harper and wide receiver Ramel Keyton. Gainer played 16 snaps on special teams. Laulu played a season high 39 snaps on defense. Laula, claimed off waivers from Indianapolis, looks like a keeper. Harper played 15 snaps on defense after playing 34 defensive snaps in Week 13 at Kansas City. Harper also played 12 snaps on special teams. Keyton was active for the fourth time and played four snaps on special teams.
