Tiger Woods’ return to golf has been discussed a lot in the last year since his severe injuries in a car accident.
He’s been practicing as he continues to heal and it sounds like he may be eyeing a return in 2023.
“His pain has gone down tremendously,” a source told PEOPLE. “He has moments, but he’s really not in a lot of pain anymore. The pain he has can be managed.”
It also sounds like Woods is really working hard throughout this comeback.
“He’s golfing, he’s practicing, he’s really working on the sport,” that same source said to PEOPLE. “And he’s very determined to return to the game as soon as it makes sense. He has physical therapy, but he’s got an almost full range of motion. He has really overcome a lot of his injuries.”
Woods wants to return at The Masters next April and try to be the oldest person to ever win that tournament. Woods will be 47 when that tournament comes around and nobody that’s that age or older has ever won The Masters.
The sport isn’t the same without Woods playing and if there’s anyone that can come back from something like this, it’s him.
