The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly releasing veteran defender Carlos Dunlap, per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Dunlap, a two-time Pro Bowler, logged 35 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 14 QB hits through 17 games as a linebacker for the Seahawks this past season.
He was set to finish out a two-year, $13.6 million contract in 2022 before his release.

This news comes just a couple days after the Seattle organization landed the free-agent signing of former Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Uchenna Nwosu on a two-year, $20 million deal. The team also notably released superstar linebacker Bobby Wagner earlier this offseason.
Dunlap joined the Seahawks midway through the 2020 season after 11 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. The 33-year-old veteran is now an unrestricted free agent as he heads into his 14th NFL campaign.
Clearly the Seattle front office is looking toward a big-time defensive shakeup this coming season.
