Bowers sets the records for the most receptions through week 11 with 70 on the season
The Las Vegas Raiders shocked the NFL when they selected Brock Bowers at 13 in the 2024 draft. Michael Mayer was drafted the year before, and the expectation was that he would be the starting tight end. That all changed on draft night when Tom Telesco took the best player available out of Georgia.
Bowers plays on the field, which made the pick make sense. Bowers is making history every game with his consistent performance on the field. He is second in the league in receptions and ninth in yards. He is on pace to set the record for receptions by a rookie.
With his 70 receptions during the year, Bowers continues to make history. He is now the fastest rookie to reach 70 catches through 11 weeks of a season.
The former Georgia tight end has been a bright spot in a dark season. He is a must-watch TV for any Raiders fan, constantly moving the chains and making players miss in the open field.
After the Davante Adams trade, Bowers has become the number one receiver on the Silver and Black. On Sunday, he was targeted 16 times and had 13 receptions. There is no reason why Bowers can’t reach the receptions record for a rookie.
