2nd-year cornerback is playing well
If the Las Vegas Raiders are going to truly build a competitive roster they will need development for their young players top build a strong core if foundation players.
It appears Jakorian Bennett may be one of those core players. The second-year cornerback from Maryland is having an excellent 2024 season for the 2-7 Raiders.
Check out Bennett’s stats from Pro Football Focus:

40.0% completion rate
7 forced incompletions (T-5th)
58.6 passer rating allowed pic.twitter.com/r8vKV7sSbP— PFF Las Vegas Raiders (@PFF_Raiders) November 10, 2024
Those are extremely impressive numbers.
Bennett deserves a lot of credit. The 2023 fourth-round draft pick began his rookie season as a starter, but he lost his job during the season and wasn’t much of a factor toward the end of the season.
But he made study improvements this offseason and has performed well on a weekly basis and it appears he is an answer at one of he key positions moving forward.
