Las Vegas needs explosion at the position
The Las Vegas Raiders are fully expected to address the running back position in the NFL draft that starts in two weeks.
The Raiders could even try to solve their issues at the position with the No. 6 overall pick as they could take Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty. While that is a very high pick to take a running back, but there’s no doubt Las Vegas ahs a big need there.
Here is a prime example of why the Raiders need a running back: They got very little explosion at the position in 2024. According to ESPN, the Raiders had just three runs of 20 or more yards, which was tied for the second fewest in the league. Here’s the full list:
Fewest rushes of 20+ yards from running backs in 2024:
Broncos: 4
Saints: 3
Raiders: 3
Chiefs: 2
Rams: 2— Field Yates (@FieldYates) April 1, 2025
Las Vegas struggled to adjust to life after Josh Jacobs last year as running backs led by Zamir White and Alexander Mattison failed to make an impact.
Now, the search for more explosion at the position points to the draft for the organization.
