Las Vegas Raiders have been connected to Ashton Jeanty and are now betting favorites according to Fanduel Sportsbook
The Las Vegas Raiders want to add to the running back room in the draft. Currently, the only running backs on the Roster are Raheem Mostert, Zamir White, and Sincere McCormick.
While McCormick displayed potential on the field, an injury derailed his season. White had a disappointing year after being expected to be the running back who could replace Josh Jacobs. Mostert had an injury-riddled 2024 and is looking to bounce back, but it still leaves questions in the backfield.
That is why the team has been connected to Ashton Jeanty. Jeanty led the nation in rushing and touchdowns last season and is projected to be the number one running back taken in April. With the Raiders picking at six, FanDuel Sportsbook has the Raiders as +105 favorites to land the Boise State running back.
If Jeanty comes on board, it gives the Raiders the starting running back they need for Chip Kelly’s offense. His play-action package set him apart from his peers in college and helped lead Ohio State to a national championship. Geno Smith won’t have to do too much heavy lifting with Jeanty in the backfield.
