Johnson is the hot head coaching canidate in the NFL is now available for in person interviews after the Lions loss in the divisional round
After firing Tom Telesco and Antonio Pierce, the Las Vegas Raiders are searching for their new head coach and general manager. Mark Davis has brought in plenty of help to find the right fit, hire a search firm, and use Tom Brady.
Brady’s reputation around the league has helped the franchise connect to Ben Johnson. Johnson is the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, calling plays for the best offense in the league. He is the hottest coach on the market and has conducted a virtual interview with the Raiders.
However, the Lions were expected to make a long run in the playoffs. The thought was that the Raiders couldn’t interview Johnson until Super Bowl Week. That all changed Saturday Night, as the Lions were upset about the Washington Commanders 45-31. The Raiders can now interview Ben Johnson as soon as Monday.
With the Commanders upset win over the Lions, the NFL’s coaching cycle has been dramatically sped up. Detroit defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson now can interview and take head coaching jobs as soon as this week.

This will help speed up the process for the Raiders and allow them to start building the team for the future. While fans wished for Jayden Daniels in the 2024 NFL draft, he ended up helping them get their off-season plans off to an earlier start. It could be a big week for Raiders news.
