PFF loves how the Raiders operated early in the draft
New Las Vegas Raiders general manager Tom Telesco had a reputation in his 11 seasons in the same role with the Los Angeles Chargers as someone who left the draft board come to him early in the draft.
Telesco used that same formula last month in his first draft as the lead of the Raiders. And it seems to have worked.
Pro Football Focus thinks Telesco committed some serious draft thievery early in the draft. The metrics site listed the Raiders’ selection of Georgia tight end Brock Bowers with the No. 13 overall pick as one of the biggest draft steals of the first round.

Telesco wasn’t done doing his dirty work.
PFF also though the Raiders’ selection of Oregon offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson at No. 44, as one of the best draft steals of the second round.

Both Bowers and Powers-Johnson are expected to have major roles as rookies. So, take a bow, Mr. Telesco.
