Raiders are in position for a top 3 pick in the draft after another loss to the Broncos
The Las Vegas Raiders lost their seventh in a row on Sunday. The 29-19 loss to the Denver Broncos puts the Raiders at 0-4 in the AFC West as the team slides.
While the Raiders offense ran the ball well and moved the ball, they struggled to finish possessions. The defense had stopped, but the turnovers by the offense helped lead to the 10 Broncos points. It ended with the team losing their starting quarterback, Gardner Minshew, for the season.
The Raiders have lost seven in a row and are now 2-9. The Silver and Black share the worst record in the league with the Jaguars and the Giants. Tiebreakers leave the team standing third on the draft board in the 2025 NFL draft.
It puts the Raiders in a great position to start a rebuild and take steps to win in the future. Even before Minshew was injured Sunday, the Raiders were going to be looking for upgrades in the upcoming draft. With the injuries on the roster starting to pile up, it is still possible for the Raiders to end up with the number one pick overall.
Raider Nation might feel sick with all the losing for this season, but there could be a silver lining if they end up with a franchise quarterback,
