Look what’s making a comeback in the NFL?
Yep, the offensive running game.
Last year, we saw some teams value running backs more in free agency after a downtrend and it played off. Yes, NFL still do and will always revolve around the passing game, but the running game isn’t dead. At least, not with the good teams,

So, yes, there is a direct correlation to running the ball and being a successful team.
The L:as Vegas Raiders were last in the NFL, averaging just 79.8 yards a game in the 2024. It was a season-long issue. The Raider’s lack of a running game wasn’t the primary reason why they finished a dismal 4-13, but it did play a part.
So, while, the Raiders have a lot of needs, starting quarterback, this stat shows they can’t ignore the running game this offseason, either.
