Speedy starter struggled to get open in 2024
One of the primary jobs of a wide receiver, of course, is to get open.
Along with actually catching the ball, a wide recover must get open. If not, not much good is going to happen.
With that in mind, Las Vegas Raiders’ wide receiver Tre Tucker has to do a much better job in 2025 than he did last season when it comes to getting open. According to a recent tweet by NFL analyst Warren Sharp, who used ESPN’s stats, Tucker struggled to get open at the second highest rate in the NFL during the 2024 season. Here is Sharp’s full list:
worst WRs at getting open last year
Jonathan Mingo (DAL)
Tre Tucker (LV)
Mike Williams (PIT)
Michael Wilson (ARI)
David Moore (CAR)
Parker Washington (JAX)
Kayshon Boutte (NE)
Deebo Samuel (SF)
Cooper Kupp (LAR)per ESPN’s player tracking data on all routes run

That’s not ideal. The speedy 2023 third-round pick got starter’s playing time for most of last season because of the Davante Adams’ trade. yet, Tucker struggled with consistency and didn’t put up very good numbers. He had 47 catches for 539 yards. That’s not very good production for a starter.
▪️Only 3 WRs ran more routes than Tre Tucker last yr:
Ja’Marr Chase- 683
Jerry Jeudy- 680
Garrett Wilson- 631▪️Tucker and Andrei Iosivas tied for lowest YPRR (Yds Per Route Run) for a qualifying WR w/ 0.9

No matter how much Tucker plays in 2025, He needs to produce better and it starts with him getting open more consistently..
